In December of 2010, Richard Morley suffered a severe stroke. The stroke disrupted his working career, family life, and mental and spiritual well-being. During a fifteen month period between 2012 and 2013, Richard M found himself homeless at the age of ___.
Richard was an avid cyclist, yet lost the balance needed to ride a traditional bicycle following his stroke. Persevering, Richard discovered the recumbent tricycle, a three-wheeled, reclined bicycle that he affectionally calls “the Trike.”
As a result of his experiences while homeless, and with the understanding of a need for additional resources for the homeless in Southern California, Richard created a daring plan called “Faith in Motion.”

Richard is originally from Winnipeg, Canada! His grandfather was involved in forming the first Rotary Club outside the U.S. He moved to California and became a U.S. citizen in 1989. In 2008, he became a member of the Laguna Niguel Rotary, serving as program chair and a member of the fundraising committee from 2008-2010. Following his stroke during rehab and homelessness, he was told of “A Better Plan” and accepted Jesus. His dream in the remaining years of his life is to serve society and those in need, the homeless, whom he came to understand while being homeless himself.
